Perhaps you remember our
blog post from last year regarding the International Year of Astronomy. In short, 2009 was the year that evolutionary astronomers were going to “share the heavens” with the world. In short, they wanted to promote evolutionary astronomy on a worldwide scale. In April 2009, the
100 Hours of Astronomy (100HA) Cornerstone Project of the International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA2009) was scheduled to “show what the astronomy community can do working together.” The idea was to have amateur astronomers, clubs, science centers and others hold events by the thousands around the world.

Major panic and fear has entered into our day. People everywehere are terrified that the world is going to end in 2012. In fact, there has even been a major motion picture that has just recently been released to hype the whole thing. Apparently, it's all based on a Mayan calendar and astronomical "facts" that will bring the planets into alignment and cause all sorts of destruction and mayhem.

You may have heard recently that NASA is going to bomb the moon. Well, that's not exactly correct. The reality is that they are going to crash a probe into the moon's surface so that they can collect data from the resulting dust and debris "plume."

Today, NASA is going to launch a new Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) and a companion LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite) impactor to the moon. This launch will mark NASA’s first step in its long awaited
return to the moon. This mission is the first of several missions that may ultimately send man back to the moon within the next decade.

The international year of astronomy has arrived. The International Astronomical Union (IAU), a major outfit for teaching evolutionary dogma has been planning for 2009 to be the International Year of Astronomy for a long time. Their goal is to use this year as a year to introduce the world to astronomy. From their website:
